We are launching a new nationwide LGBTQ+ directory for community and support and would love for you to be part of it!

There are so many fantastic LGBTQ+ organisations and social groups right across the UK, but often queer people looking for community or support don’t know how or where to find them.

Our directory will change that. Unlike other directories, ours is focused on both community and support, including established mental health charities but also providing a space for smaller grassroot community initiatives and more informal social groups.

We are building an all-inclusive and all-encompassing LGBTQ+ directory that recognises the central role community, connection, and belonging plays in improving mental health and wellbeing in our community.

We hope that you will join us!

On a mission to reduce deaths from suicide and drugs in

the LGBTQ+ community

We do this by providing community support.  We believe mobilsing our community to help those in need within it, is the most powerful way to make a difference. Our support services are focused on tackling the underlying factors contributing to sudden premature deaths in our community, including loneliness, stigma, shame and discrimination.

ALL PROFITS GO TO DELIVERING OUR SERVICES

A central part of our mission is to provide support. We provide free weekly bereavement support groups, both online and in-person, and we are currently busy building a community and support directory to help LGBTQ+ people find the right support for them. In 2026, we are going on a tour across the UK in partnership with the play 'Smoke', visiting cities up and down the country, raising awareness about the silent epidemic of sudden premature deaths in our community.

Bereavement Support Groups

When you lose a loved one suddenly and unexpectedly, the grieving process can be particularly tough. For LGBTQ+ people, mainstream bereavement services can sometimes fall short.

You Are Loved is providing a free, weekly, queer led and judgement free space, to support each other through the grief of having lost a loved one to suicide or drugs.

Recent media coverage

In recent months You Are Loved's advocacy and its founder, Marc Svensson, has featured in both videos and articles for ITV News, Attitude Magasine, and BBC radio.
